The Need.
Reed Counseling & Consulting Services, owned by Jessica Lampkin, needed a professional visual identity that would establish a strong foundation for the practice and create a welcoming, credible presence for the clients and communities it serves.

As a counseling and consulting practice, the brand needed to communicate professionalism, trust, compassion, and the possibility of meaningful personal change. The identity also needed enough flexibility to extend naturally across the organization’s digital presence and future marketing materials.

The Approach.
That Creative Guy developed the Reed Counseling & Consulting Services brand from the ground up, beginning with the logo and expanding the visual direction into a cohesive brand system.

At the center of the identity is the butterfly, a symbol of transformation, rebirth, and renewed perspective. Much like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, the concept reflects the personal journey many people experience when confronting trauma, difficult life experiences, unhealthy patterns, and challenging choices.

The visual idea was built on the belief that with the right support and a willingness to address those experiences, individuals can move through difficult seasons and emerge with a different outlook, greater self-awareness, and a renewed sense of possibility.

The butterfly, therefore, became more than a decorative element. It became a visual representation of the work Reed Counseling & Consulting Services seeks to support: growth, healing, change, and the opportunity to move forward with a new perspective.

The supporting brand visuals, typography, color palette, imagery, and overall design direction were developed around that core concept, creating an identity that feels approachable, thoughtful, and emotionally grounded.

BROCHURE DESIGN.

Does Eat Place is a staple in the food world and winner of the coveted James Beard Award. They are known for their huge porterhouse steaks, tamales, grilled shrimp and salads (just to name a few food items). It should definitely be a bucket list item for places to eat!

Does Eat Place has a number of franchises around the country, but needed a brochure designed to put in each location that captured the ambiance of their restaurant. What better way to display that by showing photos of the original owners and their sons, preparing their mouth-watering dishes. This brochure was printed and used throughout their franchises and reprinted again because they ran out!
