The JSU Research website is officially live, and I’m excited to finally share the process behind this project.
From day one, my goal was straightforward: to create a website that feels organized, modern, and worthy of the incredible research being conducted at Jackson State University. Research sites can easily get overwhelming, so I focused on building something clean, structured, and easy to navigate.
Clarity First
Before I ever opened a design file, I spent time studying the content, asking questions, and mapping out how everything should flow. There’s a lot of information, but the proper structure makes all the difference.
Design With Intention
I approached the visual design with a balance in mind, something that feels fresh and modern while still honoring Jackson State University’s established brand. Clean layouts, readable typography, and a visual hierarchy that guides you (instead of confusing you).
Built for Real People
This entire site was shaped with usability at the center. Clear menus. Easy pathways. Mobile-friendly pages. Accessibility in mind at every step.
Ready for What’s Next
